Senator Kamala Harris stumped Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh with a question during his confirmation hearings:  “Can you think of any laws that give the government the power to make decisions about the male body?”

The question struck a chord with many. Among them, Director Jason Perlman, who is an expert in creating content that explores topical issues and bridges the gap between digital and traditional media. He is known for his work with AwesomenessTV including the Emmy Award-winning “Zac & Mia” and horror anthology series “Sleep Tight.”

“I set out to create a video that felt as absurd as men having the final say on a women’s right to choose, as a rallying cry in support of women everywhere,” Perlman says.

The result is the video “Imaginary Friends” from director Jason Perlman, which takes a very original approach on the imminent threat to overturn Roe v. Wade. You can see the film

“I created ‘Imaginary Friends’ because it’s absurd to me that a government comprised mainly of older white men can enforce their religious beliefs upon every woman in the country regardless of that woman’s own beliefs, situation or desires.”
