MatchMG is seeking an Account Director to work on large, nationally recognized accounts. This position is responsible for being the main client contact on the brands assigned, providing these clients with strategic integrated marketing solutions. Fostering a strong relationship with the client at a more senior level, the Account Director must understand the client’s business challenges and define their strategic direction. Responsibilities – Senior point of contact for clients, providing innovative short and long term strategic marketing guidance – Fully understand all aspects of the client’s business and the competitive business environment – As a senior client contact, interacts with clients on major issues and ensure client relationships are positive and growing – Manage conflict, incite discussion, and make difficult decisions – Manage an account team (size varies), cultivating role as a respected mentor, providing leadership, fostering team building, overseeing career-pathing – Manage and coordinate with internal team, agency resources and workflow process, including approval of team timesheets, etc. – Assist in building and championing integration of the business by leading and facilitating cross-divisional discussion and planning – Direct and have a positive impact on projects, teams and clients by providing direction and a vision to follow – Ensure that you produce all client work with highest level of quality, on time and on budget – Ensure strategies are being met on multiple on-going campaigns – Provide input into staffing plans and budgets – Assist in new business initiatives including pitches, etc. – Provide strong and timely financial management of all client dockets. – Develop the professional capabilities of the account team, ensuring robust succession plans and annual reviews. – Leads strategic planning and brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas. – Deliver superior client presentations – Represent the agency externally, via conferences and thought leadership – Ensure familiarity with agency resources and tools such that recommendations, services, and incremental assignments can be sold in for other Match divisions – Deliver/manage several million in revenue/billings – Practice related project work which may include: Integrated marketing events, event production, promotions, social media campaigns – Ability to travel to support teams, clients and projects as needed Professional Skills & Requirements – Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related Marketing discipline – Minimum 10+ years of experience in a client service role in an agency – Sports/Athletic client brand experience desired – Involvement in leading multiple integrated programs – Track record of building strong long term client relationships and building teams internally – Continually drive for results and highest quality standards – Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills – Superior presentation skills – Demonstrated strong fiscal management skills, with P&L experience – Ability to keep composure in high stress situations – Superior organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail – Demonstrated strategic thinker with ability to help grow a business – Solid understanding of business and current marketplace – Ability to design and deliver a presentation with a creative flare – Respect the company’s core values (integrity, excellence, entrepreneurial, mutual respect) – Respect the code of conduct and ethics of the company – Value teamwork and respect the contributions of all team members. – Must be able to effectively manage multiple clients / projects simultaneously – Ability to travel nationwide up to 40% This Is Us We are North America’s leading integrated marketing services agency (shopper/promotional/digital) with the Boulder office specializing in experiential and social marketing campaigns for nationally recognized brands.
