MPC LA Opens New 25K Square Foot Studio in Culver City

 

By thelaegotist / / After eight years in Santa Monica, MPC LA has moved to a 25,000-square foot digital studio in Culver City. The space is twice the size of their old home and is located at 8921 Lindblade St. It features the latest technology including an MPAA approved previs artist workspace and a screening room with 3D stereo, HD, and 2K/4K projection, offering 2k synced reviews, TVIPS video feed, and video conferencing. MPC, is an Academy Award-winning VFX studio works on major movies and commercials. They are behind the animation and effects of movies including The Jungle Book, The Martian and Life of Pi, and commercials including Samsung, Nike, Gatorade and Google, and VR for Goosebumps and The Martian. MPC Advertising will see their creative firepower ramp up with more space and resource dedicated to innovative VFX, Color and Finishing. The space also plays host to a purpose built VR/AR infrastructure and its content production arm, MPC Creative. MPC Film will offer filmmakers the opportunity to inspire and collaborate with MPC’s creative talent to support the pre-production phase of development i.e. – before physical production begins. Creative services include concept and production design, previs & visual development, preliminary bidding and budgeting and VFX Supervisor representation.
