Integrated Art Director
Factory Design Labs is a highly creative advertising agency that boasts a client list including: The North Face, Oakley, Callaway, Beam Global, Aspen Ski Company as well as other culture driven brands.
-The Art Director has a challenging and exciting work environment and is responsible for developing inspirational creative work to meet client needs. This includes direct management of their assigned projects, client relationships and assistance in new business pitches.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Create inspirational creative across all assigned mediums on every project.
-Execute creative that creates success for assigned clients.
-Set the creative tone for assigned clients.
-Vendor selection and management for their projects. Photographer, Illustrator, Animation, etc.
-Art Direction lead on print, digital and broadcast shoots.
-Award show assistance and makes recommendations.
Programs and skills:
-Continual and ongoing mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design.
-Project timeline management for projects and clients.
-Project scope management.
-Project budget management.
-Workflow management with AS, ES, CS. PS
-Follows projects from start to finish including hand off to production and engineering ensuring a successful outcome for the entire project.
-Executes creative assignments and supervises the project through completion with ES, PS and AS.
-Support and involvement in delivery to assigned RFPs.
-Day to day management of their clients and their projects.
-Attends and participates in key creative input meetings to develop creative strategies and creative requirements.
-Champions brand tone, look and feel throughout creative strategy and execution with client team (AS, ES, PS) to ensure alignment with corporate brand approach.
-Presents work to ACD’s, CD’s and client.
-Leads in the process along with their CD’s in selecting vendors, such as Broadcast Directors, Illustrators, Photographers, and production requirements such as casting and other talent.
-Represents the agency effectively and professionally in the creative community.
-Executes excellence in everything from concept to completion of multiple projects.
-Client growth and development responsibilities through involvement in strategic planning.
-Project time management for all assigned clients and projects.
-Account/project time accountability.
-3+ years related experience in an agency environment. Specific assigned product experience strongly preferred (sports, automotive, etc.).
-4 year Degree in design or related field preferred.
-Portfolio of work showing level of ability and creative talent.
-Exceptional design skills and mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
-Proven and historical commitment to delivering great creative on every project on time and on budget.
-Knowledge of what the web is capable in harmony with traditional media.
-Proven ability to multi-task between design responsibilities while maintaining the brand vision for all assigned projects through client delivery.
-The ability to maintain a seamless communication environment between Account Services, Engineering Services, Creative Services and Production is paramount.
-Working understanding of the wholesale sporting goods client model, resort client model, automotive client model, the movie studio client model and the trade show trade association model (tied to client assignment)
-Brand execution experience from a strategic and creative level.
-Prior experience managing and assistance negotiating broadcast and print shoots.
-Ability to continually push knowledge in all media products and services in execution of assigned projects.
-Must have a clear “vision” about the importance of the creative product to the future success of the agency.
-Ability to work outside normal business hours with little or no advance notification.
